Jazz after the last boat
Every Friday, once the 9:40 pulls out and the ramp goes quiet, the Harbour Trio sets up on the dock. Upright bass, trumpet, a drum kit that has survived two winters of salt air. The string lights come on and the water does the rest.
Burgers until the band stops
The window stays open for the whole set. Walt swears the Overload tastes better in a minor key. Nobody has been able to prove him wrong.
Bring a jacket
It is the Pacific. Even in August the breeze off the harbour has opinions. We have a crate of blankets by the picnic tables, and the fryer throws a lot of heat.
No boat to catch
This is the one night the Foghorn Guarantee takes a rest, because there is nothing left to miss. Stay as long as the band does.
